On the morning of June 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., the Linzhou Court held a hearing and announced its judgments against Hengde Celestial, Shengong Celestial, Cien Celestial, Shenxian Celestial, Zhehui Celestial, and Zhishi Celestial. Hengde Celestial and Shengong Celestial were each sentenced to two years and eight months in prison and fined 25,000 yuan. Shenxian Celestial was sentenced to two years and six months in prison and fined 25,000 yuan. Cien Celestial and Zhehui Celestial received suspended sentences. Zhishi Celestial, because he refused to admit guilt, has not yet been sentenced.

On the day of the hearing, family members who had previously given statements were told that they were not allowed to attend the trial and could only see Hengde Celestial and the others briefly outside the courtroom. Yet after the hearing ended, when the relatives opened the door of Courtroom No. 5, the judge complained, "Why were you standing outside the door instead of coming in?" Isn't that strange?

On June 17, I issued the appeal and recommendation, "Please Ask the Relatives of the Detained Chanyuan Celestials to Request the Judgment from the Court." Ten days have now passed since the hearing and sentencing, and we still cannot obtain the written judgment.

Why is the court withholding the judgment from the relatives of those who were sentenced?

As everyone knows, our Home Website was previously not open to the public. After the Linzhou Public Security Bureau began arresting Chanyuan Celestials on July 2, 2025, police officers repeatedly forced the arrested Celestials to hand over their passwords to the Home Website so that the police could freely enter and search for evidence of "crimes." As a result, I simply suggested that the website administrators make the Home Website completely open to the public so that the police could examine it as much as they wished.

Therefore, regarding our Home Website, I am convinced that police officers visit it every day and closely monitor everything we do. When they discovered that we intended to obtain the judgments and use them as the basis for legal rebuttals, they likely grew afraid. Deep down, they know very well that the arrests, interrogations, detentions, and sentences imposed on the Chanyuan Celestials under the charge of "using superstition to undermine the implementation of the law" cannot withstand scrutiny either legally or factually. As a result, they are simply withholding the judgments from us.

On June 18, Vancouver time, relatives telephoned the court to inquire about the judgments. The court replied, "No judgment has been made yet." On June 23, they called again. The court's response remained the same: "No judgment has been made yet." Nor could the court specify when a judgment would be issued.

This is extremely strange!

Clearly, on the morning of June 15 at 11:00 a.m., the court had already held the hearing and sentenced Hengde Celestial and Shengong Celestial to two years and eight months in prison, with fines of 25,000 yuan each; sentenced Shenxian Celestial to two years and six months in prison and a fine of 25,000 yuan; and imposed suspended sentences on Cien Celestial and Zhehui Celestial. Why is it that when we insist on obtaining the written judgments, not only are they withheld from us, but we are instead fobbed off with the excuse that "no judgment has yet been made"?

Could it be that the grounds for the charge of "using superstition to undermine the implementation of the law" are insufficient, and that they fear we may overturn it and leave them unable to bring the matter to a close? Are they therefore considering establishing a different charge?

No matter what charge you choose to establish, a white swan remains a white swan. You cannot blacken a white swan and turn it into a black crow.
