Yesterday, on the full moon of November, Thailand celebrated its most important traditional festival, the Loy Krathong Festival. After dinner,  members in Thai home joyfully walked to the riverside to celebrate this beautiful and romantic occasion. Following local customs, we floated krathongs—crafted from banana leaves, flowers, candles, and various decorations—onto the river. Together, we made wishes and released sky lanterns filled with hopes and dreams into the heavens.

The Loy Krathong Festival is a time to express gratitude to nature, bid farewell to the troubles of the past year, and embrace the good fortune and hopes of the coming year.
