Resisting Tyranny – Part 25: Follow the Canadian Model
Xuefeng
July 10, 2025
After the evil regime in China is brought down—where should the country go from there?
Ideally, the best path would be toward Xuefeng-style Communism. This way of life has been tested for over a decade by more than 200 Chanyuan Celestials and is now being practiced in real-life communities in Thailand and Canada. It has proven to be the most suitable way for ordinary people to live and work together.
But to embrace it, the entire population would need to go through a spiritual transformation—a deep change of heart and mind—which takes time. It cannot be achieved overnight.
So in the meantime, we have a ready-made model to look to: Canada. Learning from Canada, and following its example, would benefit not only the common people and government officials at all levels, but also the world at large.
Canada is gentle, tolerant, and moves at a steady, unhurried pace. It’s not aggressive like the United States, nor rushed like Japan or South Korea. It’s not stuck in tradition like France, nor stiff and awkward like Germany.
The Nordic countries offer good models too, but they are small and sparsely populated—not suitable for a nation of over a billion people.
As for Russia, Iran, and North Korea—their systems must absolutely not be imitated. Russia is brutal, Iran mixes religion with government, and North Korea strictly controls its people. In many ways, they are no different from China’s current regime.
The British system is also admirable. Historically, places once governed by Britain often became more civilized and prosperous. Take Hong Kong, for example—it was once a small fishing village. Under British administration, it quickly grew into one of the world’s financial centers.
The same can be said for places like Myanmar, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. During British governance, these places were peaceful and well-managed. But once Britain pulled out, they soon fell apart.
Still, British culture is deep and complex. It may be hard for China to follow without losing its way. So, the wise path is to first model Canada, and then gradually move toward Xuefeng-style Communism. That would be a blessing for all.
When deciding the future path for the country, we must set aside abstract concepts like political correctness, ideology, systems, national pride, or historical traditions. These things sound lofty, but they don't help people live better lives.
In real terms, this means giving people the freedom to live how they want—as long as they don’t harm others or the natural world. No more planned economies. No more designs from the top. No more guidance from so-called experts. Ordinary people know what kind of life works best for them.
I lived in Zimbabwe for sixteen years and experienced firsthand both the strengths of the British system and the mess that followed when it was torn down.
I’ve also lived in Canada for over eight years and deeply felt the peace, freedom, and comfort that even ordinary people can enjoy.
In essence, the Canadian system shares many of the good features of early Zimbabwe. It’s a system where people can live in peace, without needing to lock their doors or fear for their safety.
That’s why I propose: after China’s evil regime is overthrown, let the new system begin by following Canada’s example.
