Lovare Homestead
Mission Statement Lovare Homestead is being created to bring community back into the big picture by focusing on producing organically grown food and educational experiences for the locals in our area. It’s a group based farm and living acreage for homes in De Graff, Ohio (about 50 minutes from both Columbus and Dayton). Lovare will be open to hosting a stable group of 6 tiny houses year round. Each of the houses will be on the Lovare board. After showing their commitment to Lovare, we’d like them to live on the land like it’s their own and possibly even owning a share in the homestead. After many meetings with the local government, we have been legally approved for both tiny houses built on wheels and on foundation. We want this to be home to a group of people who have chosen to live together with a common purpose, working cooperatively to create a lifestyle that reflects their shared core values. Our core values are sustainability, ecology, self-sufficiency, recycling, composting, permaculture, organic gardening, grey water systems, reducing our carbon footprint and incorporating community into daily lives. We’d like to have a community barn, organic garden and orchard, six tiny home sites, chickens and goats. If one of our board members has a passion, we’d love to come together to make it happen for them at Lovare homestead. In addition to all of this, Lovare Homestead aims to have a big outreach to local and like-minded communities around the country. We hope to have open farm days for our seasoned farming friends, families, and ever-expanding circles of enthusiastic newbies in our surrounding area to come out to the homestead. We’d like to actively engage with the community by sharing labor, meals, knowledge, and belly laughs. At Lovare Homestead, we think it’s very important to teach others the how-tos instead of doing things for them. Community Description We are a Tiny House community.
